Delaware Defensive Driving, Inc. has been providing defensive driving courses throughout Delaware since 1992. Based in Wilmington, the Division of Motor Vehicles approved course provider instructs students on the laws of the road and how to increase the odds of a safer driving experience. Upon completion of the six-hour Basic or three-hour Refresher course, the student receives a certificate which (when presented to their auto insurance company) results in a significant discount off the cost of insurance premiums for three years. A three-point credit is also placed on the students Delaware driving record.

Delaware Department of Insurance Regulation 607 states that insurance companies are required to discount auto insurance premiums by 10-15% for any insured driver who completes the course. Most importantly, the courses help make Delaware’s roadways safer for all of us.
