Kay’s Kamp is Delaware’s first Oncology Camp and will open August 8-15, 2009 in Clayton, Delaware at St. Joseph’s Center for Community Service. Kay’s Kamp is the dream, vision and legacy of Kaylyn Warren who battled leukemia at the age of 17 for a year and a half until she was healed to eternal life in March of 2007. Kay wanted other kids struggling with all types of childhood cancers to have the opportunity to experience some “normal” in their now not-so-normal lives. Kay’s Kamp is for any child ages 6 to 16 that have been diagnosed with cancer, whether currently in treatment and those in remission, free of charge. Kay’s Kamp is opening in association with the Helen F. Graham Cancer Center at Christiana Care along with the support of AI Dupont Hospital for Children and Bayhealth Medical Center.
